These are the last days of our move to the new apartment, and I'm utterly destroyed. Unless you're a radical minimalist, you never fully realise just how much stuff you accumulate over the years. And I'm not even talking about tech or books or CDs/DVDs… Clothes, kitchen stuff, sundry accessories, oh my.
Leaving Wedge open on my Mac to catch up on the last posts before ADN went dark. Sad that I was too busy to add a proper bye post.
@streakmachine I may. On the other hand, moving my stuff to the new apartment has made me realise I need to better control my Mac Gear Acquisition Syndrome ;-)
@jws Good point about the cost of having both devices. If one is on a tight budget, that is the moment to really, really assess one's priorities. I still think a traditional computer is a more versatile tool than just having a tablet, but for people like my parents or a few other non-geek acquaintances I have, a tablet may be more than enough.
@jussipekonen A heartfelt and belated thank you. I've started to pay more attention to my timeline and mentions here as of late, since I downloaded Macchiato. Apologies for not having responded sooner.
@streakmachine I'm with you. I still have a couple of non-smartphones in working condition that I may use in such a scenario. They're welcome to check my empty SMS history or the time I've set the alarm clock or which frequency was broadcasting the last radio station I've listened to! :-D
